Bonfire boys and girls with pints of Harveys supporting the Friends of the Lewes Arms campaign

Welcome to the Friends of the Lewes Arms website

This site was originally set up to support the Friends of the Lewes Arms campaign to get Harveys Beer reinstated at the locally popular Lewes Arms pub.

The campaign ended successfully in April 2007 with the return of our favourite locally brewed beer to our favourite local pub.

The main heart of the campaign was the ability for everyone involved to effectively communicate with each other and we achieved this using a discussion forum on this site.

Unfortunately I no longer have the time to maintain the forum as it was being abused and as the campaign had ended, was no longer required.

I have backups of the forum and if anyone would like to see the content and discussion topics that were so important during the campaign, please contact me by email

If you are looking to make contact with anyone from the pub please speak to the new management directly at The Lewes Arms (now a Fuller's pub) as this site is no longer maintained or monitored.

Thanks!

Grateful thanks to John May whose original blog was the main focus of news, communication and comment about the original campaign.

John's blog can be found here.
